Today my tip is .NET Rocks episode 1024, Enterprise Mobile Web with Chris Love, length 55:47.
There are a lot of opinions if the best apps are native or web apps and Chris dives into the discussion with arguments for building enterprise web apps. A couple of weeks ago I listened to
a show with Rick Strahl on the same subject.
There’s a discussion on the touch capabilities in the different browsers. Apple has patents on it’s touch api’s and to get around it Microsoft has created pointer events which are recommended by the W3C. Chrome was supposed to implement this but have now decided not to. Once again the browser war creates fragmentation and problems for us developer just because big business wipes common sense away. Nice to hear that Safari is named the new IE6. I really hate that browser.
