First tip of the week is .NET Rocks episode 1021, Evolving ASP.NET Development with Scott Hunter.
.NET have come a long way since 2002. Carl and Richard talk to Scott about ASP.NET vNext and it’s pretty awesome. It can run on Linux and also from a USB or whatever by including it’s own server, and it’s a small subset of .NET that is used which can then be extended using modules implemented with Nuget. This small subset and the possibility for running on it’s own makes it perfect for Internet of Things.
So what we get with ASP.NET vNext is a .NET that is cross-platform and modular. To me that sounds awesome!
