2013 has ended and we have seen the dawn of 2014.

It’s been a wonderful year both professionally and personal.

At work I have grown a lot and have gotten a lot of appreciation for the work I’ve done. I have also grown and learned a lot in my spare time and I’m proud that I haven’t broken the chain with my One Hour a Day experiment. It’s been 142 hours of exciting tech and it has made me filled with inspiration, energy and curiousity. I’ve not only been spending one hour a day listening to podcasts but also started to dive deeper into code and starting some projects.

My goals for 2014 are first of all to finish the full year of one hour a day. I want to publish at least one mobile app and I have a couple of projects in my side business that I want to upgrade and push forward.

On the personal side the most important event was that I got engaged on the edge of Grand Canyon. I took my girlfriend on a trip to USA. We went to New York, San Fransisco, drove along Coastal Highway 1 to Monterey, Carmel and Santa Barbara. I spent 4,5 years in SB, studying Computer Science in the 90’s and haven’t been back since 2000. It felt great to see my old hometown again and also to show my girlfriend how I lived. We continued to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon and then went back to NY for a few days before going home to Sweden. It was the trip of a lifetime but I hope we get back soon.

At home we have renovated our house so it’s become a fantastic home that we love. The goal for 2014 is to finish up the last of the renovation and some nice travels.

I’m looking forward to a very exciting 2014.

Happy New Year!
