This is a show that you should really listen to if you’re building mobile apps. Michael have some great advice and recommendations on how to handle apps that get disconnected.
They have a great example of bad and good.
In the Twitter app you’ll get a message that there was an error but nothing else. You’ll try to resend and get error and then one or more of the messages actually got through but you have no idea.
WhatsApp have a great solution. You write your message and click send. If there’s no connection it will send it later on. You can see checkmarks on your message to know if it went through. One checkmark that it has been sent, two checkmarks when it has been received. That’s great!
