As I mentioned yesterday design interests me a lot so since I had one more UI podcast in my queue that’s what I’m listening today, DotNetRocks episode 903, Wireframing UI the Right Way with Russ Unger.

Last design podcast was a lot about design in general, this is instead more specifically on wireframing. I have previously used Balsamiq and I like it’s hand drawn style. Russ share a lot of his experience and amongst other things mention a test they did where he and three other UI designers did the same assignment. They selected different tools but curiously enough the four designs was very close.

One advice that he give is that always start with pen and paper when doing design. This is something I often do and I apply it even for coding. Transferring from paper to computer makes you rethink your first solution and correct flaws.
